Filler injections must be done at least 6 weeks prior to lip blush and NO INJECTIONS BETWEEN initial and touch up appointment
Any abrassive skin treatments, such as chemical peels, laser resurfacing, microdermabrasion, retinol or retin-a must be discontinued
Accutane users must discontinue for ONE full year before booking an appointment
Surgeries of any kind must be done at least 30 days prior and may still require a doctors note or clearance (please send an email if this applies to you)
Antibiotics of any kind need to be discontinued 30 days prior to your appointment

Limit sun exposure for a minimum of 2 weeks - you will be sent home if you come in tanned or sunburnt and forfeit your retainer and charged for 50% of the remaining total.

Hydrate yourself daily - you need to be drinking a minimum of 8 (8oz) glasses of water DAILY
Vitamin E oil or A&D ointment should be applied to the lips constantly throughout the day
After showering or face washing, apply a lip scrub to help remove any excess dead skin from the lip tissue.
At Home DIY Lip Scrub: mix together, 1 tbsp of the following ingredients:
• Brown Sugar
• Honey
• Olive OilAvoid wearing any heavy or matte lipsticks or stains
IF YOU HAVE ANY HISTORY OF COLD SORES, like even just one, years ago, you must contact your doctor to get a prescription antiviral medication - lip blush does not cause cold sores, but it can trigger an outbreak for those that have had them in the past.

Start taking antiviral medication if necessary - should be taken 3 days before, day of the procedure, and 3 days after.
Stop taking any blood thinners, ie: asprin, niacin, fish oil, ibuprofen, vitamin E. If you are prescribed to a blood thinner, please contact us before booking so we can assure that you can proceed.
Discontinue use of alcohol.

Do not consume any caffeinated products 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Do not work out before your appointment.
If you are concerned about pain tolerance, you may take Tylenol (acetaminophen) 30 minutes before your appointment.
Please come in with a makeup free face - especially in/around the treatment area.
The skin should not be dry, chapped, irritated, or flaking at your appointment. Should you come in without optimal skin, you will be sent home and your initial retainer will be forfeited and you will be charged 50% of the remaining total for the service.
After Care

Your lips will likely be swollen for 1 to 2 days - please plan accordingly for public events.
You can apply an ice pack for 10-15 minutes at a time, each hour, for the first 2 days.
Color will appear very intense, it will soften by about 30-40% during the healing process.

You may clean your lips with the provided cleanser ONLY! Blot or gently wipe the lip 2x a day, morning and night and after any meal or snack.
Do not pick, peel, bite, lick, or scratch at the lips - they will feel very dry and can get flakey but removing this layer can result in loss of color
Apply a thin layer of provide ointment constantly throughout the day with a clean cotton swab. Please do not use any mineral oil or petroleum products, such as Vasaline. First thing in the morning or before showering or brushing your teeth, you may apply a thicker layer to protect your lips.
Keep toothpaste use minimal (but please still brush your teeth!) - it can be considered a soap and cause loss of color
Do not apply any makeup products directly to or around your lips
Keep sweat, water, soaps, and lotions out of the treated area
Avoid physical activities that cause excessive sweating
Drink through a straw to avoid cracking and peeling the lips

Color may appear dull while settling into the skin, more will show back up on the surface as your body continues to heal
Avoid hot showers/baths, saunas, swimming pools, oceans, sun tanning or tanning salons
No massages, facials, waxing, threading

Do not use products containing alcohol or glycolic acids around/on the treatment area.
Limitations of Permanent Makeup

You are not a candidate for our services if:
Under 18 years old
Currently pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring you are not a candidate for microblading, however you may be a candidate for machine shading
Accutane: Discontinue use for minimum of 1 year prior to booking
Chemotherapy: Must be 6 months post chemo/radiation
If you have a heart condition, epilepsy, or are in poor general health
If you have a blood disorder (such as hemophilia, uncontrolled high blood pressure, etc)
You will need a doctor’s note/clearance BEFORE your appointment if any of the following apply:
You have an Autoimmune Disorder
You have Diabetes
You are presently taking blood thinners (for any reason)
